I am a Marine Biologist and PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast. My research focuses on the effects of microplastics on animal behaviour and physiology. A passion of mine is science communication and outreach, which is why myself and my friend Shannon Plummer founded Endangered Ireland. This platform educates people on the wildlife and ecosystems here in Ireland, the pressures they face, and steps towards prevention and mitigation of pressures. I applied for this programme to connect, share and learn from like-minded individuals so that we can lead the way towards a greener, cleaner future for Northern Ireland and beyond.
